Position Summary: OPAL Fuels, an industry leader in Renewable Natural Gas and Renewable Energy, has an immediate need for a Construction Project Manager. This role is responsible for managing sub-contractors who are performing commercial / industrial construction and engineering projects nationwide. Incumbent can reside anywhere in the continental United States with a manageable commute to a major commercial airport as this position will have overnight travel responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have related experience with process plant / process piping projects in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemical Process, Biogas, and other related process facility projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects during the development, pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and maintain consistent and thorough communication with key stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • Ensure smooth transitions between project phases through close coordination with members of the development and operations teams.
  • Accountable for safety, scope, budget, and schedule of your projects.
  • Projects will be a mix of the following:
    • Conversion of biogas to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) or biogas to Renewable Electricity.

This role is responsible for providing leadership for the preliminary planning and engineering services prior to completion of a financial investment recommendation for construction of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and other major projects. The role will provide the necessary project development support to adequately define the project, identify potential challenges, develop a comprehensive schedule, estimating co-directs in coordination with the project management team, and analyzing the specific requirements of the project, ensuring a smooth hand-off between origination and construction organization. Incumbent can reside anywhere in the continental United States with a manageable commute to a major commercial airport as this position will have overnight travel responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have related experience with process plant / process piping projects in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemical Process, Biogas, and other related process facility projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical development of the schedule and budget in coordination with the origination and project management team.
  • Accurately scope and coordinate estimate development.
  • Lead development of the Project Financing memo and supporting documentation
  •  Develop initial Engineering Request for Proposal (RFP)

Position Summary: OPAL Fuels offers the incoming RNG Compliance Analyst a unique opportunity to engage in all aspects of the rapidly growing and evolving renewable fuels and decarbonization sectors through OPAL’s vertically integrated structure incorporating both upstream RNG producers and downstream marketing and distribution of RNG. Due to the lean size of the Finance and Treasury team, the Analyst will rapidly gain experience in all aspects of the business with significant exposure to senior professionals and executive management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain process for tracking, generation, accounting, reporting, managing, and monetizing environmental credits.
  • Collect all required data from internal and external RNG suppliers and downstream fueling customers to generate environmental credits.
  • Manage contractual database of RNG suppliers and downstream fueling contracts, lead onboarding process for new contractual customers, document critical compliance requirements, and lead registration process of new contractual relationships with EPA and CARB.
  • Manage periodic supply and dispensing statements and payments to customers.
  • Maintain and report all RIN and LCFS credits currently held for sale and maintain records of all past generation and sale activity.
  • Assist and support RFS and LCFS Pathway applications and support operations group with compliance monitoring plans for RNG pathways.
  • Provide periodic reporting for senior management of environmental credit activities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and outside parties for all credit programs for validation of all OPAL Fuels environmental credits.

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating purchases of various products and services for multiple job sites. The successful candidate will order supplies, inventory, equipment, and services for multiple facilities/ job sites. Position Summary: The O&M Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components; using test equipment to locate and correct the problems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on various operating CNG compressor equipment, including, but not limited to, compressors, dryers, pumps, valves, meters, rotating equipment, and various other equipment.
  • Visually inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Diagnose and test electrical systems for continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as digital volt/ohm meters.
  • Perform daily walk around inspections to identify any potential risks or fatigue of equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components, utilizing equipment manuals, test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a failure and make necessary repairs.
  • Ensures that all station equipment, including safety devices, are functioning properly, and reports any equipment failures to the supervisor.
  • Document service actions daily by completing forms, reports, and logs.
  • Ensures good housekeeping practices of all equipment, tools, work areas and fueling station.
  • Service existing accounts by routinely calling on customers, receiving calls from customers, and routine site visits.
  • Ensures that all vendors accessing fueling stations follow all company policies and procedures.
  • 24-hour on-call status required; must be able to travel up to 10%.
  • Respond to emergency calls and preventative maintenance calls in an organized manner.
  • Responsible for booking all travel and tracking all expenses.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Three to five years of industrial, automotive or HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
  • One to three years of CNG experience preferred.
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read basic diagrams and schematics.
  • Coursework in industrial mechanics and/or electricity preferred.
  • Good communication skills; written and verbal for reporting purposes; attention to detail.

Position Summary: The Plant Operator is responsible for the direction of all day-to-day activities in a gas turbine landfill, gas power generation facility. This position reports to the Area Manager and shares accountability of the day-to-day operations of the site.   • This position will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and repairing equipment required to maximize gas plant production in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.

  • Keep all on-site parts and supplies stocked and well organized. Maintain plant inventory.
  • Respond to call outs in a timely manner. Identify and correct the cause of the call out. If the problem cannot be corrected or diagnosed, it is the responsibility of the operator to contact the plant manager to get the help required to fix the situation.
  • Operate the plant with a clear focus on safety. Clean up spills immediately. Make sure all lighting systems are fully functional; no slip or trip hazards are consistently present; and no electrical or mechanical hazards go for long periods of time without attention. Affirm that all plant visitors, mechanics, and outside contractors are following safe work practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate for the Controls Engineer opportunity will work closely with operations for RNG plant upgrades, commissioning, and troubleshooting of plant equipment control systems. The incumbent will also be an integral part of data analysis and reporting on key performance indicators with Ignition. This role reports directly to the Vice President, RNG Operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and report data accurately and use it for troubleshooting or enhancing projects. Work with large datasets and clearly communicating findings.

Position Summary: As a Project Coordinator, you will utilize your expertise and leadership skills in working with customers, sales, consultants, engineering, manufacturing and operations, field construction, and permitting with AHJ (state, county, city, utility, gas, electric). Position Summary: The O&M Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components; using test equipment to locate and correct the problems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on various operating CNG compressor equipment, including, but not limited to, compressors, dryers, pumps, valves, meters, rotating equipment, and various other equipment
  • Visually inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
  • Diagnose and test electrical systems for continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as digital volt/ohm meters
  • Perform daily walk around inspections to identify any potential risks or fatigue of equipment
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components, utilizing equipment manuals, test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a failure and make necessary repairs
  • Ensures that all station equipment, including safety devices, are functioning properly, and reports any equipment failures to the supervisor
  • Document service actions daily by completing forms, reports, and logs
  • Ensures good housekeeping practices of all equipment, tools, work areas and fueling station
  • Service existing accounts by routinely calling on customers, receiving calls from customers, and routine site visits
  • Ensures that all vendors accessing fueling stations follow all company policies and procedures
  • 24-hour on-call status required
  • Respond to emergency calls and preventative maintenance calls in an organized manner
  • Responsible for booking all travel and tracking all expenses

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Three to five years of industrial, automotive or HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
  • One to three years of CNG experience preferred

Position Summary: OPAL Fuels has an opening for a Technical Project Engineer. The incumbent must have a strong technical background in electrical/mechanical/design/ development/ natural renewable energy projects/oil & gas/PE. This position will provide engineering, design/ drafting, and technical support of projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in areas related to compressed natural gas (RNG), hydrogen, and/or oil and gas, along with excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to drafters, vendors, contractors, customers, team members.
  • Drive and support the technical and engineering of projects.
  • Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural consultants.
  • Provide engineering analysis, and specs of equipment for projects.
  • Review and guide engineering, specs, and scope of projects with selected EPC firms.
  • Assist other team members in developing RFQs.

  • Assist with start-up issues of new packages to ensure smooth operation and proper installation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Seven plus years of experience and proven success in gas processing or related engineering.
  • Experience leading and managing company team members, and vendors.
  • PE License desired but not required.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes.
  • Understanding of industrial drafting standards, symbols, process, instrumentation, and wiring diagrams.

A Construction Superintendent oversees the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion. The duties of a construction superintendent will vary day-to-day; however, they can expect to be responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site.
