Position Summary:

The Safety Department of OPAL Fuels is currently seeking to add an additional jobsite Safety Auditor Manager to their team.  Reporting to the Director of Safety, the selected candidate will perform field audits, nationally, to verify regulatory compliance with safety codes, regulations, standards, and related OPAL Fuels Company requirements at all jobsites.  As well as performing safety audits, the Safety Auditor Manager will conduct in-house company training and enhance the culture of safety of OPAL Fuels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety audits to review compliance of procedures in the following areas:
    • adherence to company policy and procedures with emphasis on safety.
    • safety metrics and compliance.
    • observation and reporting of safety violation(s) and/or unsafe situations.
  • Assist with and/or recommend corrective action(s); then proceed to follow up with each site.
  • Work with the management team on compliance issues and training.
  • Assist with reviewing inspection reports to ensure all OPAL Fuel sites are maintained per company expectations.
  • Assist with new programs as developed.
  • Assist in training needs when an audit presents the necessity.
  • Review and assist in maintaining current policies on safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

Position Summary:  

The Lead Plant Operator is responsible for the direction and supervision of all day-to-day activities in a Renewable Natural Gas facility.  This position reports to the Plant Manager and shares accountability of the day-to-day operations of the site.  This position will lead a team of four other operators with the goals of maximizing production and minimizing downtime with the utmost regard to safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and repairing equipment required to maximize gas plant production in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
  • Maintain detailed records on production data, equipment operational hours, service schedules and equipment outages.
  • Check all operating equipment daily including flow meters, gas chromatographs, fluid levels, pressure and temperature readings, and unusual noises to correct conditions before failure occurs.
  • Perform all maintenance and repairs on the operating equipment including oil and filter changes, replacement and repair of valves, blowers, compressors, and other plant equipment, as necessary. Participate in preventative maintenance outages and overhauls.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in and around the plant. Keep oil from accumulating on the unit skids, floors, and soil around the plant.  Keep weeds and shrubs cleaned from the plant yard and perimeter fence. Keep equipment and floors looking as presentable as possible.
  • Keep all on-site parts and supplies stocked and well organized. Maintain plant inventory.
  • Respond to call outs in a timely manner. Identify and correct the cause of the call out. If the problem cannot be corrected or diagnosed, it is the responsibility of the operator to contact the plant manager to get the help required to fix the situation.
  • Operate the plant with a clear focus on safety. Clean up spills immediately.  Make sure all lighting systems are fully functional; no slip or trip hazards are consistently present; and no electrical or mechanical hazards go for long periods of time without attention.  Affirm that all plant visitors, mechanics, and outside contractors are following safe work practices.
  • Lead, coach, and provide effective feedback to other plant operators. Ensure all training for team is complete and on-time.
  • Ensures team adherence to company policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, and safety requirements.
  • Clearly communicate all material/personnel issues with the area managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Wellfield Supervisor and is responsible for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the gas collection and control system (GCCS). The GCCS consists of a series of extraction points, known as wells, that are interconnected via piping. Proper operation of the GCCS is required to comply with State and Federal environmental regulations.  Most of day will be spent in the field maintaining the GCCS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monthly wellfield monitoring.
  • Liquid level measurements in Gas Extraction Wells (GEW).
  • Pneumatic pump troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Conduct routine blower and flare operations.
  • Monitor perimeter probes.
  • Manage and interpret data from wellfield extraction locations.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements and ensure that health and safety standards are followed by on-site staff and sub-contractors.
  • Available for on-call response to a GCCS related malfunction event.
  • Travel to other facilities as required (50%).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • No prior industry experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to operate a pickup truck and ATV.
  • Background check and clean drug screen required.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work independently, outdoors approximately 90% of each workday. Work environment involves exposure to dirt, odors, noise, high traffic, heavy equipment, and weather extremes.
  • Must possess effective organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to handle objects up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to walk over steep and rough terrain daily.

  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for cash accounts.
  • Oversee daily cash reporting process including preparation of journal entries for company’s cash accounts including recording cash receipts.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording and reporting of all accounts and financial statements, including intercompany balances.

Job Summary:

As a Project Coordinator, you will utilize your expertise and leadership skills in working with customers, sales, consultants, engineering, manufacturing and operations, field construction, and permitting with AHJ (state, county, city, utility, gas, electric). You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure accuracy and construction projects completion according to aggressive schedule. You are responsible for all your project tasks deliverable, identify risks and issues, lead cross-functional team, work within schedule, update departments and management, and close out projects as schedules. You will be responsible for delivery of “an end product” capable of achieving the business requirements to customer expectations as agreed. You will work independently with very little or no supervision. You are required to travels and stay overnights as needed to support construction team, AHJ/Utility/Gas, and meeting customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct “project kick-off meetings” prior to any work beginning.
  • Review customer’s scope of works to understand the requirements and aggressive schedule with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, operations, account payable, and field construction.
  • Gather jobsite information by conducting research using tools such as Google Earth, reaching out to AHJ and customers, and possibly visiting jobsite as required.
  • Research property and create check lists – reach out to AHJ, determine local codes, and work with customer gathering documentations, create a list of requirements and forward them to engineering with the documentations, requesting engineering to produce an engineering drawing package for customer reviews, approval, and submittal.
  • Work with the client and their contractors gathering survey and geotechnical data, including getting title reports, and other client-facing tasks.
  • Conduct, participate, and follow ups on engineering design reviews, production, and field construction related for your projects to ensure all tasks are completed according to schedule.
  • Customer reviews (where applicable) –Schedule and lead cross functional team of engineering, production, and/or field construction throughout project life cycle.
  • Facilitate gas and electrical utilities – establish constructive services request, provide service need, requesting design, communicate aggressive timeline, and ensure services in place prior to job start.
  • Assist company field construction teams and their subcontractors with AHJ for permitting.
  • Have a strong understanding of business and technical problems that teams are solving and be able to work with external customer and internal teams to prioritize, clarify, and organize work.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years of project management experience preferably construction-related industry focusing on customer services, engineering, development, production, budget, risks, resources, and scheduling.
  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in project management methodology, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project/Gantt Chart, PDF).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, strong verbal, and written communications for technical and non-technical audiences.

As a Field Install Technician, you can expect to be on the road at outdoor construction sites, assisting the Superintendent in building Natural Gas Fueling Stations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up the job site and container.

Position Summary:  

 A Construction Superintendent for Opal Fuels oversees the operations of a construction site, from planning to completion. The duties of a construction superintendent will vary day-to-day; however, they can expect to be responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site. These positions are for our rapidly expanding Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review project drawings for constructibility and material take-off.
  • Material ordering on JIT basis for anticipated permits.
  • Creating project schedule and budget.
  • Solicit and review vendor and sub-contractor quotes for approval of purchase orders.
  • Customer contact, introduction, communication of overall project schedule and daily/weekly activities.
  • Hands on installation of stainless-steel tubing and carbon steel pipe systems.
  • Operate forklift, scissor lift, petty-bone and the like of medium duty equipment.

Position Summary:  As a CAD Drafter II, you will utilize your expertise to transform initial rough product designs into working engineering documents under limited supervision. You will support the design/engineering team in the production of design, mapping calculations, preparation of plans, drawings, reports, and exhibits using computer aided design (AutoCAD). In addition, you will coordinate and supervise design responsibilities and drafting assignments as requests by your manager. You will work with project managers, production, field construction, vendors and consultants, utility, gas, and city. You will work independently with limited or no supervision. You are required to travels and stay overnights as needed to support construction team, AHJ/Utility/Gas, and meeting customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create engineering drawings in accordance with local municipal (AHJ) rules and customer requirements for permitting.
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, procurement, manufacturing, operations, and field construction.
  • Conducts and/or participates engineering design reviews with internal and external customers.
  • Gathered jobsite information by conducting research using tools such as Google Earth, reaching out to AHJ and customers, and possibly visiting jobsite as require.
  • Research building data, state and local code requirements, and interpret survey data for accuracy and verification of project.
  • Preparing preliminary, revisions, and final engineering drawing document utilizing AutoCAD.
  • Create and revises engineering drawings as recommended by company consultants, customers, factory/production, and field operations construction.

  • Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, project management, production, and field construction to effectively design for various client’s needs in order to meet project timeline.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate Degree or Trade School Certification.
  • 5+ years combined experience in civil, mechanical, or/and electrical design with knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • 2+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of time.
  • Ability to multitask and work well in team environment.

Proper operation of the GCCS is required to comply with State and Federal environmental regulations.  Most of day will be spent in the field maintaining the GCCS.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monthly wellfield monitoring.
  • Liquid level measurements in Gas Extraction Wells (GEW).
  • Pneumatic pump troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Conduct routine blower and flare operations.
  • Monitor perimeter probes.
  • Manage and interpret data from wellfield extraction locations.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements and ensure that health and safety standards are followed by on-site staff and sub-contractors.
  • Available for on-call response to a GCCS related malfunction event.
  • Travel to other facilities as required (50%).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • No prior industry experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to operate a pickup truck and ATV.
  • Background check and clean drug screen required.
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work independently, outdoors approximately 90% of each workday. Work environment involves exposure to dirt, odors, noise, high traffic, heavy equipment, and weather extremes.
  • Must possess effective organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to handle objects up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to walk over steep and rough terrain daily.
  • Possess intermediate mechanical and computer skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and instrument components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate of a breakdown, and correct the problem.
  • Routine maintenance on various operating CNG compressor equipment, including, but not limited to, pumps, valves, meters, rotating equipment, and various other equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components, identifying hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters.
  • Ensures that all station equipment, including safety devices and systems are functioning properly, and reports any equipment failures to supervisor.
  • Performs daily walk around inspections to identify any potential risks and ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained.
  • Ensures that all vendors accessing Station follow all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • 24 Hour on-call status required.
  • Service existing accounts by routinely calling on customers, receiving calls from customers, and routine site visits.
  • Respond to emergency and preventative maintenance calls, in a timely and organized manner.
  • Responsible to book all travel and track all expenses.
  • Documents service actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

 Qualifications & Skills:

 Three to five years of industrial maintenance experience, troubleshooting, and repairing automated equipment.

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Coursework or certification in electronic technology, preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skill, for reporting purposes; attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift 60lbs.
  • Computer skills, (knowledge of Microsoft Office), schematics.
  • Wide range construction technology knowledge, and materials preferred.
  • Must be able to travel to other locations, locally.
